While at the state track meet I had a distressed comrade along side me. This anonymous person leaned over real quite like and asked what's a lee-o-pare-d.
At first I thought they had mispronounced leotard. So I asked, "Do you mean leotard? Or whatcha looking at? Why you asking me this?"
Then I see it. In front of me in bold black letters: LEOPARD.
That's a fancy kitty my dear. A mascot of sorts. No worries, you're safe, it is rarely in the pronunciation bee.
